Leeanne Slade writes romantic comedies.
Before becoming a full-time author, she worked in advertising for some of the UK’s most iconic radio brands. She lives on the south coast of England with her husband and two small children. When she’s not juggling motherhood and a writing career, she’ll probably be watching cooking shows, obsessing over Taylor Swift, or reading romance novels like her life depends on it.
The Rebound is Leeanne's first novel and was released exclusively on Audible in March 2023.

Bel Powley can currently be seen starring in the Disney+ series A Small Light, a story which centres around Miep Gies, the young woman who hid Anne Frank and her family during the Holocaust. Other recent credits include starring roles in Apple’s The Morning Show, the BBC/Working Title series Everything I Know About Love, Judd Apatow’s Pete Davidson-centered Universal comedy The King of Staten Island, and Sony’s White Boy Rick. On television, Powley played one of the lead roles in CBBC’s show M.I.High. Other television credits include appearances on UK shows Benidorm, Murderland, Little Dorrit, The Bill, and The Whistleblowers.

Story filled with loss, laughter and love. Couldn’t stop listening! Great story & great narration! Favorite Audible yet.

After listening to Leeanne Slade’s last Audible book, The Rebound, I instantly knew Told You So would be another favorite. The moment it was available for preorder I purchased. This is a listen in 2.0 speed to get through & know what happens next but then regret when you’re finished sort of read!
A story filled with loss, laugh and Iove. Highly recommend! Even for those who aren’t typically fans of Audible selections, give this one a chance, best one yet!

Quirky and cute an easy listen

This book was quirky, cute, funny and sweet. If you want an easy listen with a little romance this would be a great book to listen to.

Easy to enjoy

Wonderful rom-com type story. This is the second book by Leanne Slade that I’ve listened to. It was so enjoyable with great characters and plot. Both books made me look forward to my torturous 1.5 hr + commute so I could keep listening. I can’t wait to hear more from this author!!!

Nailed the landing

Lots of things about this story are excellent. The ending in particular. A little bit of inconsistency with Lucy’s character. All the bones were there, just a few little tweaks could have really made a her as solid as her male lead.

Such good chemistry

I loved this and enjoyed the narration a lot. Sucha good story with depth & steam. I hope there’s more coming from this author.

D@#n it…she’s so good!

There were times I was so annoyed with this book… why did the characters have to go through what they go through? But I kept listening… The character development is so good. The story is so good, and yet I found myself annoyed with the situation. With what the characters were going through and yet I couldn’t stop listening. I had to listen more. I would move into other rooms to continue to listen so I wouldn’t disturb my family. And when it was done…did I drop my phone in frustration? Move on? No…no..here I sit…immediately after listening to the final moments of this book…reviewing it. Like I’m compelled. so if you’re wondering if you should listen to this book? the answer is yes. Yes, you should listen to this book. You’ll thank me.. because It is so so good.

Witty, charming, and surprisingly emotional!

I absolutely LOVED this book! The story was so fun but also touched on some very real topics in a beautiful way. I loved all the twists and turns and the narrator was absolutely perfect! I cried real tears by the end of this one, I loved it so much!
